Things to know about Javascript

  • Javascript is a commonly used programming language that enhances your experience when browsing websites.
  • Javascript is perfectly safe to enable if you know and trust the website you are visiting.
  • Javascript and Java are unrelated languages and their settings in your browser have no effect on each other. Javascript also has no relationship to Flash or other media objects.

How Theatre-Inc uses Javascript

  • To visually stylize elements of the website
  • For enhanced service features
  • To aid in sessions management and keep you logged in
  • To create dynamic, real-time applications without page reloads
  • It is NEVER used to create pop-up ads, collect information about you, or otherwise interfere with your computer.

We do our best to minimize the size of our Javascript files and decrease the time it takes to load the website.

How to Enable Javascript on your browser


Internet Explorer 5.x, 6.x, 7.x

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  2. On the Security tab, click Internet.
  3. Click Custom Level.
  4. Scroll down to Active scripting.
  5. Click Enable (or Prompt).
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click Yes.
  8. Click OK.

You can also enable Javascript only for Theatre-Inc by choosing Trusted Sites instead of Internet from Step 2 and then click the button marked Sites and adding http://www.theatre-inc.com to the list.

Firefox 2.x

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. Click on the Content icon.
  3. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript.
  4. Click OK.

Opera 9.x

  1. On the Tools menu, hover over Quick Preferences, then click on Enable Javascript.
    If Quick Preferences is not listed in the Tools menu, follow the instructions below:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Preferences.
  2. Click Content in the Preferences list.
  3. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript.
  4. Click the JavaScript Options button to open the JavaScript Options box.
  5. Check the boxes that you want to allow.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click OK.

Safari 3.x

  1. On the Edit menu, click on Preferences.
  2. Click the Security icon.
  3. Click on Enable JavaScript next to the Web Content section if it is not checked.
  4. Close the Preferences window.
  5. Close and restart Safari.
