The Theatre Industry is a vital part of the economy, employing around 7 million people and spending over $5.3 billion a year as well as serving as a valuable attraction for tourist income in national metropolitan areas. Theatre is also an important source of culture and innovation for other various artistic and entertainment mediums. Nothing can compare with the experience of a live theatre performance and the public is in complete agreement, with ticket sales growing in the last few years by leaps and bounds.

As important as Theatre is, both culturally and economically, it is still a vastly underserved market. Many theatre professionals are forced to co-op inadequate tools used by the television and film industries because they lack a better alternative.
